Soursop Curry

  Soursop Curry Ingredients  Soursop Lime juice Onions Green chillies Pandan Curry leaves Garlic Ginger Mustard seeds Fenugreek Cinnamon Chilli powder  Turmeric powder  Curry powder Black pepper Coconut milk Maldives fish Salt Steps First wash & clean the soursop fruit. Remove the soursop seeds. Then cut it to pieces. Put water in to a pot & add lime juice ,soursop pieces in to it and leave them for some time. Then cut the onions, garlic, ginger and green chillies. Remove the lime water and wash the soursop pieces with pure water. Put a pot on the stove add coconut oil and mustard seeds, fenugreek, curry & pandan leaves, cinnamon, onions, garlic, ginger, curry leaves and pandan in to it and mix it. Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry powder and soursop pieces in to it. Next add coconut milk, green chillies, maldives fish, black pepper& salt  in to it. Then cook it. After it cooked you can taste your soursop curry.

Neeramulliya Curry

 Neeramulliya Curry Ingredients  Neeramulliya leaves  Lentils  Onions Green chillies Turmeric powder Curry powder Curry leaves  Coconut milk Salt Steps First clean & wash the dhal. Then cut the onions & green chillies. Lentils, onions, curry leaves, salt ,turmeric & curry powder in to a pot. Then add coconut milk also. Put it on the stove. Then wash  the neeramulliya leaves and cut it in to pieces. When the lentils are cooked add the neeramulliya leaves in to it and stir. Cook the neeramulliya curry and taste it.

Malabr Nut Curry

  Malabar Nut Curry ( Pawatta leaves Curry ) Ingredients  Malabar Nuts (Pawatta leaves) Onions Green chillies  Garlic  Ginger  Turmeric powder Black pepper Cinnamon  Snoring Fenugreek Maldives fish Pandan leaves Tamarind leaves Curry leaves Salt Steps First clean & wash  the pawatta leaves . Then add water & some salt in to pot and put pawatta leaves to it. Leave it for 10 minutes. Then wash again pawatta leaves with water and wash the tamarind leaves also. Next get a pot first add tamarind leaves on the top of it add pawatta leaves & snorin, again tamarind leaves on the top it pawatta leaves & snoring. Do it in order untill the pot is full. Add some salt in to it and water put it in the stove until leaves boiled.  When the leaves colour get brown get out the pot from the stove. Banana blossom curry

  Banana blossom curry Ingredients  Banana blossom Salt Water Big onions Green chillies Turmeric powder Coconut oil Curry leaves Tomatoes  Steps First cut the banana blossom into small pieces. Put water in to a pot and add salt add blossom pieces in to it and leavs it for some time. Cut the onions & green chillies. After some time remove the water and keep only banana blossom pieces. Add turmeric powder and chilli pieces and mix them well. Put some coconut oil in to a pan and temperd the onions and curry leaves. Then add the babana blossom in to it and stir. Cook the banana blossom curry and taste it.

Spiny gourd curry

 Spiny gourd curry Ingredients   Spiny gourds Onions Garlic Coconut oil Ginger Cinnamon  Dried chillies Green chillies Pandan  Curry leaves Tomatoes Curry powder Chilli powder Black pepper Seasame seeds Mustard seeds Cumin seeds Coconut milk Tamarind Salt Steps First wash the spiny gourds and cut in 4 pieces. Cut the tomatoes ,onions ,green chillies ,pandan , curry leaves ,garlic, ginger and green chillies. Fry the seasame seeds. Put coconut oil in to the pot and fry mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add onions , garlic ,ginger ,mustard seeds ,cinnamon ,dry & green chillies, pandan ,curry leaves and lastly add tomatoes. Turmeric powder, chilli powder, black pepper, curry powder and salt add to it and temperd. After well temperd it add some coconut milk in to it. Then add spiny gourds in to it and stir. Lastly add tamarind and coconut milk and cook it.  Now you can taste your spiny gourd curry.

Prawns Curry

 Prawns curry Ingredients Prawns Oil Lime Garlic Onions Tomatoes Dried chillies Turmeric powder Curry powder Chilli powder Green chillies Black pepper Pandan Curry leaves Cinnamon Cardamon Salt Steps Clean and wash the prawns. Then put prawns in to a pot and add lime juice, turmeric powder and black pepper in to it. Leave it 30 minutes. Cut the garlic, onions, tomatoes and dried chillies. Put oil in to a pot and while hot it add pandan, curry leaves, cinnamon, cardamon, cloves, ginger , garlic and temepred them. Add salt, dried chillies, curry powder, chilli powder and tomatoes in to it. Add green chillies and salt also. In the last add the prawns and cook it.

Sinhala Achcharu ( Sri Lankan Pickle )

 Sinhala Achcharu (Sri Lankan Pickle ) Make only in clay pots. Ingredients Red onions Green chillies Vinegar Papaya Black pepper Mustard seeds Oil Salt Steps Clean the red onions , papya and green chillies. Next boiled the red onions on the stove in 2 minutes. Then do it same to the green chillies. Add some vinegar to the mustard seeds and grind it. Escape to two chillies. Cut papaya in to thin pieces. Add papaya pieces , red onions , green chillies, salt and grind mustard and vinger in to the pot. Then mix it well. Add some black peper to it. Again mix well and store in a bottle.

Lotus Seed Curry

  Lotus seed Curry Ingredients Lotus seeds Tomatoes Chillies Cashews  Ginger Garlic Cinnamon Oil Curry powder Masala curry powder Youghurt Mustard seeds Pandan leaves Curry leaves Salt Steps Clean the lotus seeds and washed them well. Then boil the tomatoes. Grind the boiled tomatoes, chillies, cashews, garlic and cinnamon. Put oil in to a pan and fry the lotus seeds. Then add oil in to another pan and tempered the musturd seeds, onions , chillies, curry leaves and pandan leaves. Add the tomato paste in to it and add turmeric powder, chilli powder, curry powder, cinnamon, salt, masala curry powder and youghurt. Then mix it well. Then add fried lotus seeds and water. Cooks well. When it cooked you can taste your lotus seed curry .

Purple Yam Curry

  Purple Yam Curry Ingredients Purple Yam Salt Tomatoes Green chillies Onions Curry leaves Pandan leaves Chilli powder Curry powder  Turmeric powder Youghurt Coconut milk Oil Steps First wash the yams and cut in to pieces. Next put water in to a pot and add the yam pieces and put it in the stove. Then boil the tomatoes. Cut the big onions , green chillies and ready the pandan and curry leaves. When the yams are boiled add some salt. After they boiled filted the yams. Put oil in to a pan andd fry the boiled purple yams. Again put oil in to a another pan and fry onions, chillies, curry leaves and pandan leaves. Add curry powder , chilli powder, turmetic powder and youghurt in to it and tempered. Add the boiled tomatoes also in to this mixture. Next add the fried purple yams and add some salt. Then add the coconut milk also. When the coconut milk is done remove the pot from the stove. Now you can taste your purple yam curry.

Olu Rice Kanda

 Olu Rice Kanda Ingredients Olu Nuts Water Garlic Coconut milk Steps First wash the olu nuts. Then put them in to a bucket and close it leave for 5 days. After 5 days add water in to a bucket and crush well. Seperate all the olu seeds and wash them well. Next put the washed olu seeds in a bowl and add water to it. Then boil the olu seeds. Dry the boiled olu seeds well in the sunlight. Next put the dried olu seeds in a mortar amd grind them. They calls" Olu rice ". Washed the olu rice again. Put water in to a pot and add olu rice also and keep it in a cove. Then cut the garlic and add to it. When it boils after the water is done , add coconut milk into it and rub a little. Now take it out and drink it in a glass.

Sour Bilimbi Pickle

  Sour Bilimbi Pickle Ingredients Dried bilimbi Lime Salt Dried fish Onions Chilli pieces Curry leaves Green chillies Garlic Vinegar Maldives Curry powder Chilli powder Steps First put oil in to a pan and fry the bilimbi. Fry the dried fishes. Cut the onions, garlic, curry leaves and green chillies. Then fry the onions, garlic, curry leaves and green chillies. Chop the bilimbi and dried fishes.  Next put vinger on a pan and when its hot add chilli pieces, curry powder, fried bilimbi,  ,onions , curry leaves, and green chillies. Mixed it. Then add some sugar to this mixture. When the bilimbi mixture cools add some lime. Now you can taste your bilimbi pickle.

Young Jackfruit Curry

 Young Jackfruit curry Ingredients Young jackfruit Water Coconut milk Chilli powder Turmeric powder Curry powder Black pepper Fengureek Tamarind Pandan leaves Lemongrass Cinnamon Onions Garlic Mustard seeds Steps Clean the young jackfruit and cut into pieces. Put the cut jackfruit pieces and water in to a pot. Then add chilli powder , turmeric powder , curry powder , black pepper , fengureek , tamarind in to the coconut milk. Add the jackfruit pieces into the coconut milk . Next cut the pandan leaves , curry leaves and chop the lemongrass , onions and garlic. Put coconut oil into a pan and add it to mustard seeds ,chopped mixture and cinnamon and pandan , curry leaves. When they tempered add the jackfruits in to it and let it boil. After it boil you can taste your curry.

Place it on the stove to steam the jackfruit seeds. Clean and chop the onions and garlic. Strain the boiled jackfruit seeds. Fry rice and coconut flakes in a pan. Grind the jackfruit seeds in a chilli stone. Grind the fried rice and coconuts. Add  jackfruit seeds ,grind rice and cocounts ,fenugreek , black pepper ,salt ,curry & turmeric powder , green chillies , lemongrass, pandan and coconut milk in to a pot. Mix it well . Put a coconut oil into a pot and fry mustard seeds ,grind spice, onions & garlic and add curry leaves , pandan also in to it . Fish Ambul Thiyal Ingredients Fish Dried chillies Black pepper Garlic Curry leaves Green chillies Onions Coriander Cinnamon Cardamon Cuminseed Lemongrass Rice Coconut flakes  Pandan Lime juice  Steps Wash the fishes well. Take a pot and add dry chillies , coriander , cumin, cardamon, cinnamon and garlic to it and fry well. Coconut falkes , curry leaves and rice also fry. Grind everything fried well in a chili stone. Get a pot and add fishes , grind mixture , green chillies , onions, curry leaves , pandan ,lime juice and cuminseeds into it. Add some water to it and mix it well. Add salt and put it on the stove. Finally you can taste your Fish ambul thiyal.

Dhal Curry Ingredients Dhal Onion Coconut milk Chili powder Turmeric powder.  Cumin Mustard seed Fenugreek         Salt Dreid chillies Green chillies Garlic Pandan Curry leaves Cinnamon Ginger Coconut oil Moringa leaves Steps Wash the lentils and put it in clean pot. Cut the onions , garlic & green chilies in to pieces. Chop the garlic and ginger. Put coconut oil in a pan amd fry cumin, Mustard seed and fenugreek. Add cinnamon , dried chillies ,Chooped mixture , green chillies , curry leaves , pandan and mixed it. After tempering add some chilli and turmeric powder and stir. After tempered add the washed lentils. Mix it well and add some water and let it boil. After draining ghe water , add coconut milk and salt to it and cook the lentils. Finally add some moringa leaves. Now you can taste your dhal curry .
